The BC Alliance for Healthy Living (BCAHL) supports policies, environments, programs and services so that British Columbians have equal opportunities to be healthy. We are a nonprofit and a true alliance with nine non-governmental member organizations.
Since 2003, BCAHL has worked to address the risk factors and inequities contributing to chronic disease in BC, such as cancer, cardiovascular and lung diseases, and type 2 diabetes. We mobilize leading health organizations to collaborate on health policy and programs throughout British Columbia.
BCAHL works alongside representatives from the Ministry of Health, Health Authorities, and the Public Health Agency of Canada. BCAHL also convenes the Physical Activity for Health Collaborative, which brings together leaders from the academic, health, sport, and recreation sectors to improve physical activity outcomes in BC.
